Pennsylvania Consultant, Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2)
Sharon Pillar is the owner of the Hot Earth Collaborative LLC, a consultancy that works with non-profit, business, and government clients to advance clean and healthy energy markets that transform our communities, economy and environment. Sharon consults with Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) as their Pennsylvania Advocate to raise business voices in support of favorable clean energy policies, and is the founder and executive director of the newly forming Pennsylvania Solar Center that offers solar coaching services to help tax-exempt organizations navigate the solar procurement process. Sharon was recently a facilitator for the PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Finding Pennsylvania’s Solar Future stakeholder process that identified the path to get PA to 10% solar. Sharon directed the 2.5 year long Solarize Allegheny campaign and served as the president of the Solar Unified Network of Western Pennsylvania (SUNWPA) -the region’s solar trade organization- for five years. During her eight years at Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future, she served as the Project Manager for solar programs. She holds an M.A. in Earth Literacy from St. Mary’s-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, IN and a B.A. in Psychology from Mansfield State University.
